Ronald E. Weber is Wilder Crane Professor of Government in the Department of Political Science, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, former coeditor of the Journal of Politics, and a past president of the Southern Political Science Association. His research interests include representation, legislative systems, and state and local politics and policymaking. He is coauthor (with Eric M. Uslaner) of Patterns of Decision-Making in State Legislatures and editor of Wisconsin Government and Politics, 6th ed.

Brace, Paul : Rice University

Paul Brace holds the Clarence L. Carter Chair in Legal Studies in the Department of Political Science at Rice University. He is author of State Government and Economic Performance (1993) and coauthor with Barbara Hinckely of Follow the Leader: Opinion Polls and the Modern Presidency (1992), winner of the Neustadt Prize.
