Sprick, Randy S. : University of Oregon

Randy S. Sprick, Ph.D., is an educational consultant and teacher trainer in Eugene, Oregon. Each year, Sprick conducts workshops and classes for over 10,000 teachers and administrators throughout the United States and Canada. Much of his work involves helping teachers, principals, and other staff set up classrooms that encourage student responsibility and motivation, while humanely and effectively helping misbehaving students learn to behave in more responsible ways. Sprick has developed numerous articles, books, audiotapes, and videotapes that assist school personnel in dealing with the issues of discipline and classroom management. Sprick has been an assistant professor and is currently an adjunct faculty member at the University of Oregon. He is a past president of the Association for Direct Instruction.




Garrison, Mickey :

Mickey Garrison, Ph.D., has worked in the field of education for over 20 years. She has been a teacher, an administrator, and a consultant for regular education programs and programs for students with emotional and/or behavioral disorders. She has had experience in public and private schools, at both the elementary and secondary levels.




Howard, Lisa M. :

Lisa Howard, B.A., is a former special and general education teacher of students in grades K-12. She has worked on a number of school-based research projects in both reading and mathematics in Oregon, Washington, and California.
