The second edition of Ken Knight's popular text features an improved, flexible approach to developing the appropriate clinical skills athletic trainers need. The book now contains more than 80 clinical modules organized into 11 areas of clinical interest and divided into 5 levels of competencies.

The modules require students to develop and demonstrate basic clinical skills and to reinforce clinical knowledge through the peer-teaching system embodied within the program.

These modules reflect the most popular approaches to athletic injury care developed over the past few years. The references have been updated and, for the convenience of the student, integrated into the individual modules.

Modules are arranged so students develop simple skills before progressing to more complex ones. Modules are grouped into five levels and then subgrouped within those levels--an approach that allows instructors to tailor the material to fit their own curriculum.
