We want you to have the right book. Should you need to return it, here's what you need to know.

Books Directly From Us

• Within 30 days from the date of purchase, you are welcome to return it for a full refund. Shipping charges are not refundable. Books that arrive outside of the 30 day return window will be paid current buyback value, if one exists.
• Books must be in the same condition in which we shipped them to you. Access cards and CDs must be unopened on new books and all components sent with the book must be included.
• We will credit you once the book arrives and is inspected. Typically this can take 2 to 4 business days.
• We can only refund the order to the original form of payment.
• We are not responsible for any damage that may occur on return transit. Insurance can be bought from UPS Stores or your local post office. Please do not refuse shipments as they are not insured. COD shipments will not be accepted.

Rental Return Policy

• You are welcome to return your rental book within 21 days from the date of purchase.
• There is a $5 fee per book with a maximum charge of $10 for returns.
• All returns must be made using the prepaid shipping label included in your package.
• Books must be in the same condition in which we shipped them to you. Access cards and CDs must be unopened on new books and all components sent with the book must be included.
• Refused packages will not be accepted for return.

Marketplace Return Policy

• Within 30 days from the date of purchase, you are welcome to return it for a full refund. Shipping charges are not refundable.
• Returns are made to the Marketplace Vendor from whom you purchased the books. Their address can be found on the packing slip and also on the outside of the shipping carton.
• Books must be in the same condition in which we shipped them to you. Access cards and CDs must be unopened on new books and all components sent with the book must be included.
• Marketplace Vendors are not responsible for any damage that may occur on return transit. Insurance can be bought from UPS Stores or your local post office. Please do not refuse shipments as they are not insured. COD shipments will not be accepted.
• Marketplace Vendors will credit you once the book arrives and is inspected. Typically this can take 8 to 14 business days after the book arrives back into their warehouse.
• We can only refund the order to the original form of payment.

If you have lost or misplaced your original packing list, you get another copy online in My Account.

Return Notes:

• Shipping charges are not refundable.
• Returns will be refunded in the form of the original payment method.
• All components must be returned for full credit.
• Please allow up to 2 weeks for items to be refunded to your credit card.
• For your own protection, we suggest you return items via UPS or insured parcel post. Should the items be lost or damaged in transit, carriers require that you file the tracer or claim.
• We do not accept CODs of any kind.
• We are not responsible for books returned to the wrong Marketplace vendor.

Rental Returns

• Orders must be returned 21 days from the date of purchase
• The original Shipping Cost is non-refundable
• There is a $5 return fee per book, max of $10
• All returns must be made with the prepaid return label.
• Books that have been opened or unwrapped are only eligible for a 75% refund.
• Refused packages will not be refunded

Damaged Items

We stand behind our products 100%. If you have a problem with your order, please give us a call within 30 days of arrival toll free at 877-292-6442. We cannot be held responsible for claims made after 30 days.

For books purchased from the Marketplace on Textbooks.com, please contact the vendor within 10 days of receipt to report damage. You can find the vendor's contact information on your packing list.

Late and Damaged Returns

Items returned to Textbooks.com must be received in our warehouse within 30 days of the shipment date on your packing list. Items received after 30 days will be reimbursed at current market buyback value.

Books that were sold in NEW condition that we receive back as USED will be valued at the current price of a USED item.

Late and damaged returns to Marketplace vendors will not be accepted.

eTextbook Returns

If you order an eTextbook in error:

• You must contact us at eBooks@textbooks.com BEFORE you activate!
• Your eTextbook is NON-RETURNABLE upon activation.
• Our return policy for inactivated eTextbooks is effective for 30 days after purchase.
