Author Bio

Dacey, John S. :

John Dacey is nationally recognized as one of the most experienced and respected educators in human development. He received his B.A. from the University of Binghamton and obtained both a Masters and Ph.D. at Cornell University. Professor Dacey has been a member of the faculty in the Developmental and Educational Psychology Program at Boston College for 33 years and has authored 10 books including: New Ways to Learn, Adult Development, Adolescents Today , Where the World Is, The Fundamentals of Creative Thinking, and Creativity: The Psychological and Social Bases . In addition he has authored 26 articles including three in the Journal of Creative Behavior.

Travers, John F. :

John Travers is an award-winning professor and teaches both graduates and undergraduates at Boston College. In addition to being recognized as one of the universitys Outstanding Teachers, Professor Tavers was also honored as Teacher of the Year. Teachings, counseling and writing have been constant themes in Professor Tavers professional life. His publications include Educational Psychology: Teaching and Learning (with Elliott and Kratochwill), Human Development Across the Lifespan (with Dacey), The New Children, The Growing Child, and Learning: Analysis and Application . Professor Tavers received his Ed.D. from Boston College.
