Patton, W. David : Boise State University

Dr. W. David Patton (Ph.D., University of Utah, 1989) is Associate Professor of Political Science and Public Administration at Boise State University and Institute Director of the Mountain West Municipal Clerks and Treasurers' Institute. In addition to publishing articles on human resource management, labor relations, and state and local government, Dr. Patton has consulting experience in labor negotiations, lobbying, and policy development.

Witt, Stephanie L. : Boise State University

Dr. Stephanie L. Witt (Ph.D., Washington State University, 1989) is the Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at Boise State University. She has written articles and books on environmental policy, urbanization, gender/race/sexuality issues, and state politics. Dr. Witt has also served as Principal Investigator for groups examining rural-urban tensions in the American West.

Lovrich, Nicholas : Washington State University

Dr. Nicholas P. Lovrich, Jr. (Ph.D., University of California, Los Angeles, 1971) is Professor of Political Science and Director of the Division Governmental Studies and Services at Washington State University. He teaches public administration, public policy, and state and local government. Dr. Lovrich has also done extensive research on the environment and human resource management in the public sector.

Frederickson, Patricia J. : Boise State University

Dr. Patricia J. Fredericksen (Ph.D. Washington State University) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Policy and Administration at Boise State University. She teaches American Government, Introduction to Public Administration, Intergovernmental Relations, and Public Personnel Administration. She has written books and articles on federalism and public administration. Dr. Fredericksen also has extensive consulting experience with police departments and is the former Director of the Center for Sustainable Neighborhoods at the University of Texas at El Paso, a research and technical assistance center for community-based nonprofit organizations.
