Laurie Schneider Adams is professor of art history at John Jay College and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. She has previously taught at Columbia University, Mount Holyoke College, Sarah Lawrence College and the University of Florida. She is the author of The Methodologies of Art, A History of Western Art, Art and Psychoanalysis, and Art on Trial. She is editor of the quarterly journal Source: Notes on the History of Art and has contributed numerous articles and reviews to scholarly journals.
