Summary

New to This Edition

The section on ANOVA has been revised for a more conceptual approach, including more interpretation, and now covers 2 way ANOVA with interaction using Excel.
Chapter 4 has been reorganized and revised and now includes new sections on Dot Plots, and one describing the relationship between two variables.
Chapters 1 and 2 have been revised and expanded and now include more on graphics and ethics related to statistics reporting and interpretation.
Where appropriate, some computational procedures have been reduced or eliminated.
Approximately 50 new screen shots have been added, and software command sections expanded, mainly using Excel and MegaStat for Excel.
Chapter 19 now includes Weighted Moving Averages.
Many improvements have been made throughout the text to explanations, examples, graphics, and exercises, based on thorough adopter and reviewer suggestions. While these will not be readily obvious at a glance to users, they will most certainly improve student understanding of the concepts, and their success and experience in the course.
Excel, MegaStat, and Minitab are integrated throughout the text, in enough detail to support students.
