Author Bio

Peter Kurzdorfer is the former editor of Chess Life magazine and the author, along with the U.S. Chess Federation, of The EverythingR Chess Basics Book. Mr. Kurzdorfer has been a Chess Master since the early 1980s, earning his Master rating in 1981 and the Original Life Master title in 1991. He began teaching chess in the 1980s and served as Resident Chess Master in Bradford, PA, throughout most of the 1990s. He lives in Franklinville, NY.
