1. Breakfast Ramen
Yes, you can eat ramen every meal of the day (though I wouldn't advise it). Put the block of ramen in a pot, cover it with water, and bring it to a boil. Then add some sliced onion and tomato, or any other vegetable you'd like, along with the seasoning packet. Crack a few eggs over the mix, and then cover the pot for a minute until your meal is ready. Voila! You've made yourself a hearty, wholesome breakfast.
2. Thai Ramen
This is a delicious recipe adapted from Martha Stewart. Make ramen as usual (the directions are on the packet). Drain some of the liquid. Mix with soy sauce, peanut butter, and Sriracha chili sauce (though any, or no, hot sauce is also fine). Top with some scallions if you are feeling extra authentic.
3. Ramen Spaghetti
I love the texture of ramen noodles, and I've found that they make an excellent substitute for normal spaghetti. Prepare your ramen as usual, but don't add the flavor packet and drain out all the water. Top it with whatever you enjoy on your spaghetti. You can use red sauce, meat sauce, or just butter. My personal favorite is adding garlic powder and butter.
4. Vegetable Soup
Prepare your noodles as usual. When the water and noodles are boiling, add some frozen vegetables. You can also add meat, such as cubed chicken from a can. Stir until these are cooked, and you've got yourself a hearty vegetable soup.
5. Cheesy Ramen
I have always believed that anything can be improved if you add cheese to it. Just prepare ramen as usual, and when you're adding the flavor packet, add a slice of American cheese, as well. You will be left with the ultimate comfort food.
